My name is Salvatore Mannina, and I’m 53 years old. I was born in Italy, a land where food is more than just something you eat — it’s a way of bringing people together. When I was just three years old, my parents brought me to England, and I grew up in a little town called Evesham.
From that moment on, my life was shaped by two worlds: the warmth, passion, and traditions of Italy, and the energy, diversity, and opportunities of England.
Food has always been at the centre of who I am. From a young age, I was surrounded by the aromas of homemade sauces, freshly baked bread, and recipes passed down through generations. But I was also curious, always wanting to explore new flavours, try new ideas, and create something that connected both sides of my heritage.
Over the years, I’ve done many jobs and even run businesses, but for a long time I felt something was missing. No matter how hard I worked, no matter how much effort I put in, I couldn’t find that spark — that feeling of giving 100% with joy in my heart. For a while, I felt lost.
Then I asked myself a simple question: What do I truly love? The answer was right there all along — cooking, sharing food, and creating moments that bring people together. Nothing has ever given me more happiness than seeing people smile while enjoying something I’ve made with care.
